"Go outside and blow the stink off ya."
-Gma Christene

Hunting and fishing as a comedy of errors in West Central IL.

Picture

I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

The old proverb says give a man a fish, he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime. One day, something clicked, and all I could do was think about living my life outside. I'm teaching myself to hunt, fish, and love every single day in a way I had never expected, but now can't imagine doing without. Through sporadic success and epic failures, I learn something new every time I grab my bow, pole, or boots and take the time to shut up and listen to the world around me.
